Exec: Russian Railways to create transportation JV in Greece
MOSCOW, Feb 1 (PRIME) -- Subsidiaries of Russian Railways plan to create a joint venture in Greece for railway transportation until the end of June, to acquire a license and start working there, First Vice President Alexander Misharin told reporters on Wednesday.
“I think that (the creation of the joint venture and acquisition of a license will happen) this year, in the first half of the year. We will start operations as soon as we get (the license),” he said.
The company also plans to buy a stake in a Serbian company that maintains infrastructure. “We are buying a company in Serbia that is engaged in our core activity – it maintains infrastructure…We will leave part (in the Serbian company) to partners. (The deal will be closed) in the first half of the year,” he said.
